GEOIDEA.RO (GEodata Openness Initative for Development and Economic Advancement in ROmania) is a collaborative project between ETH Zurich and the Technical University of Civil Engineering Bucharest. Launched in January 2013, it aims to enhance the scientific foundations for integrating open geodata models within Romania. The project is co-financed by a grant from Switzerland through the Swiss Contribution to the enlarged European Union.

This page offers general vector datasets for Romania, including administrative boundaries, state frontiers, and localities. Data is frequently updated and accessible in multiple formats like Shapefile, TopoJSON, FlatGeobuf, CSV, and KML.
