WebODM

WebODM is an open-source drone mapping software designed to transform aerial images into valuable geospatial products. This user-friendly application and API enables users to generate georeferenced maps (orthomosaics), dense point clouds, digital elevation models (DEMs), and textured 3D models from drone-captured imagery. It operates efficiently on local computers, providing capabilities even in offline environments.

The software offers a comprehensive suite of features for detailed geospatial analysis. Users can perform volume and area measurements, track stockpiles, and compute various plant health indices such as NDVI, VARI, and GNDVI. For enhanced accuracy, WebODM supports the creation and utilization of Ground Control Points (GCPs), along with the preview and export of elevation contours to common CAD and GIS formats.

WebODM demonstrates high versatility, processing images from a wide range of camera types, including standard, fisheye, and 360° cameras, as well as multispectral sensors. It accepts various image formats like JPGs and TIFFs, regardless of EXIF data or image orientation. The platform also includes support for rolling shutter correction, GPU acceleration for faster processing, and robust export options for high-resolution GeoTIFF, LAS/LAZ, OBJ, and OGC 3D Tiles formats, facilitating easy sharing and integration.
