The Umbra Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) Open Data program features high-resolution SAR imagery from Umbra satellites, offering resolutions up to 16-cm. SAR technology is capable of capturing images at night and through challenging atmospheric conditions like cloud cover, smoke, and rain. This makes it particularly effective for monitoring changes over time.

The Open Data Program includes over twenty diverse time-series locations that are frequently updated, enabling users to analyze temporal changes. Data is available in single-looked spotlight mode (16cm, 25cm, 35cm, 50cm, or 1m resolution) and multi-looked spotlight mode. The program also provides an assorted collection of over 250+ images covering various global locations, from emergency response scenarios to unique sites. All data is provided under a Creative Commons License (CC by 4.0), allowing broad usage.
