SatDump

SatDump is a powerful and versatile software designed for processing satellite data, providing users with both a Graphical User Interface (GUI) and a Command-Line Interface (CLI). This tool facilitates the analysis of various satellite transmissions, supporting both offline processing of recorded data and live processing directly from Software Defined Radio (SDR) devices.

The GUI version offers a straightforward approach for offline processing, where users can select appropriate pipelines, input files (such as baseband or frames), set input levels, and adjust settings like samplerate before starting the process. For live operations, the "Recorder" tab allows users to select and start their SDR device, choose a pipeline, and begin processing. Both processing and recording functionalities can be utilized simultaneously.

The CLI provides a flexible alternative for advanced users, enabling processing through direct commands. A sample command demonstrates how to use satdump with parameters like pipeline_id, input_level, input_file, and output_file_or_directory, alongside additional options such as --samplerate and --baseband_format. Detailed documentation is available to list all supported satellite pipelines and their specific parameters, enhancing its utility for diverse satellite data analysis tasks.
