SAGE

The Center for Sustainability and the Global Environment (SAGE), affiliated with the University of Wisconsin–Madison, is a leading research institution dedicated to improving understanding of the global environment and the impact of human activities. SAGE brings together researchers from diverse fields including natural, health, and social sciences, as well as engineering, to address complex regional and global challenges stemming from interactions between environmental systems, natural resources, and human activity.

SAGE provides a wealth of Data and Models resources. These include extensive datasets, maps such as the "Atlas of the Biosphere," model code, and specialized software like the "Wisconsin Horizontal Interpolation Program for Satellites (WHIPS)." The center also offers educational materials, including Python Tutorials and an AERMOD Tutorial, facilitating access to and understanding of advanced environmental modeling and data analysis techniques.

Beyond its data and modeling contributions, SAGE actively engages in knowledge dissemination and community building. The center's "People" section highlights its diverse team of faculty, research staff, graduate and undergraduate students, and affiliates. Additionally, the Weston Roundtable serves as a forum for lectures and discussions, with comprehensive archives of past seminars available, fostering ongoing dialogue and collaboration on critical environmental topics.
