Processing Drone Images with WebODM

This tutorial focuses on teaching users how to process drone images using WebODM, a user-friendly web interface for OpenDroneMap (ODM). ODM functions as an open-source processing engine, capable of transforming drone imagery into valuable geospatial products. The course was developed as part of a training program on "Flying Sensors for agricultural purposes," highlighting its practical application in the field.

Participants in this tutorial will gain proficiency in several key areas. They will learn to upload drone images to a WebODM server, evaluate important task options, and generate essential outputs such as point clouds, Digital Surface Models (DSMs), and orthophotos. The curriculum also covers the visualization and evaluation of these results directly within WebODM.

Furthermore, the course extends to advanced applications, including the generation of various Vegetation Indices for crop monitoring. Users will learn to visualize and evaluate these indices in QGIS, compare results from different time periods, and perform univariate statistics. The tutorial also demonstrates how to clip indices to specific field boundaries, enhancing their utility for agricultural analysis.
