Copernicus Digital Elevation Model (DEM)

The Copernicus Digital Elevation Model (DEM) is a comprehensive Digital Surface Model (DSM) that captures the Earth's surface, encompassing buildings, infrastructure, and vegetation. This dataset is provided in two main instances: GLO-90, which offers global coverage at a 90-meter resolution, and GLO-30 Public, which provides 30-meter resolution for a subset of countries. Ocean areas are not covered, where height values can be assumed to be zero.

This data is available in Cloud Optimized GeoTIFFs and originates from the Copernicus DEM 2021 release. It is offered on a free basis to the public under specific licensing terms.
