CACES

The Center for Air, Climate, & Energy Solutions (CACES) offers comprehensive data on outdoor concentrations of criteria and non-criteria air pollutants across the contiguous U.S. This resource also provides results from health impact models (AP2, EASIUR, InMAP) quantifying economic damages from air pollution exposure based on emission locations.

These models provide estimates of outdoor concentrations for six criteria pollutants (O3, CO, SO2, NO2, PM10, PM2.5) and four non-criteria pollutants (PNC, COA, HOA, BC) throughout the contiguous U.S. Data includes annual-average values spanning various years up to 2020, with specific units for each pollutant. Users can download data at the county, census tract, or census block-group levels, based on 2010 Census geographies. Decomposed annual concentrations for PM2.5 and NO2 are also available for census block groups from 2000-2015.

The Center for Air, Climate, & Energy Solutions (CACES) offers results from three models—AP2, EASIUR, and InMAP—that estimate human health impacts from various emissions (PM2.5, SO2, NOx, NH3, VOCs). These results quantify economic damages from air pollution exposure as a function of emission location, expressed in dollars per U.S. metric ton. Further details are provided in the RCM User Guide.

The InMAP Source-Receptor Matrix (ISRM) is also available, estimating air quality impacts from emissions across the contiguous United States to any receptor location. Files linking ISRM with US Census demographic data and US EPA National Emissions Inventory are provided. All data is free and publicly available for non-commercial purposes, with commercial use requiring prior written permission. Contact admin@caces.us for data inquiries.
